Adam Vaughan was formerly chief reporter at New Scientist. He covered everything from the environment and energy to covid-19 and other key science stories. Working as a print and digital journalist for two decades, he was previously the energy correspondent of The Guardian and worked on the newspaper's environment desk for eight years, reporting and editing on the subject. He has interviewed world leaders, environmentalists from David Attenborough to Jane Goodall and reported from glaciers, poaching hotspots and the aftermath of natural disasters, in between attending major UN climate summits from Glasgow to Paris. He left New Scientist to join The Times in 2022.
