Katharine Sanderson is a science journalist specialising in the physical sciences. She has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Cambridge and BSc and MSc degrees, also in chemistry, from Imperial College London. Katharine has worked as a a staff reporter and editor at Chemistry World and Nature, as well as several years as a freelance writer. In 2021 she was a finalist at the British Journalism Awards for her reporting on how sports concussions are worse for women, and making batteries better for the planet. Katharine is a board member of the Association of British Science Writers, and teaches science writing to undergraduates at various UK universities.
